In the United States, Paramount+ has been around in some kind since 2014, but it finally jumped over to the UK on June 22, 2022. With a diverse (but small) list of television shows and films, a very competitive rate and a lot of Star Trek, the streaming service wants to play with the big young boys.
But despite its honorable intents, Paramount+ UK still seems like one of those more small specific niche streaming services– most of its unique UK titles have been out (in the United States) for months, the back catalogue is disappointingly small, and the apps still suffer from a few technical concerns.
Still, Paramount+ UK shows a great deal of promise, with huge strategies ahead. In this in-depth evaluation, I’ll take a look at what the service provides right now, whether it’s great value-for-money, and what its future might bring.
