Gary Hater, one of the foremost breeders of Ranchus in the US, holds a social
event at his house each year.
The get together started about 10 years ago, as a social event after one of
the goldfish shows/conventions held by the GFSA, and has been continued by Gary
since then.
Over the past few years, the event has evolved from a purely social gathering
to a teaching event as well, with breeders getting together to share brood
stock, and learn from other breeders.
Over the years, the quality of fish produced from this event has increased
dramatically, as you can tell from the attached photos. Gary and the
attending breeders also conduct judging seminars to determine the best stock,
conformation, etc.
Our friend Gunn also sent some fish, which helped the presentation and
judging exercises.
Here's hoping that the event continues for many years to come. All
